INDICATIONS FOR USE
EPIGEL® TUBE is an ophthalmic gel intended for dogs, cats, non-DPA horses, and pet rabbits. The presence of 0.2% Carbomer with mucoadhesive properties and its specific composition forms a stable gel upon contact with the ocular surface, providing intense and long-lasting moisturizing and lubricating action, offering immediate relief in cases of severe dry eye and associated environmental stress.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE
- Remove the cap and hold the tube body between the thumb and forefinger of the dominant hand.
- Hold the animal’s head steady by securing the muzzle with the non-dominant hand.
- Position the dominant hand sideways over the animal’s head so you can gently pull the upper eyelid with the outer edge of the little finger to expose the eye.
- Hold the tube above the eye and instill a sufficient amount of gel to cover the oculo-conjunctival surface, applying gentle pressure on the tube body. Gently massage the eyelid to help evenly distribute the gel.
- Apply 2-3 times daily.
- Reward the animal after application.
COMPOSITION
Carbomer 0.2% (w/v), Cetrimide, Sorbitol, Sodium hydroxide, Disodium edetate, Water for injections.
WARNINGS AND STORAGE
Ophthalmic product for veterinary external use.
- Avoid touching the eye with the tip of the tube.
- Do not use the product after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
- Wait 15 minutes between the instillation of Epigel Tube and any other ophthalmic medications or products.
- Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity or incompatibility to any component of the preparation.
- Use the tube within 28 days from first opening.
- Keep out of sight and reach of children.
- Store below 25 °C.
- Do not dispose of the container in the environment after use.
